Welcome to my brand new website, designed by the lovely lady behind Irish Ink Publishing, and my
brand new blog spot! I’ll try to remember to update it!
I’m new to the world of websites and blog spots. I had a MySpace when I was a teenager, which I
adored, but those days are now long gone (bring back MySpace)! I wanted a space where I could
share all of my latest news and my stories all who care to listen. Along with anything else I find
exciting or interesting, like Comic Cons, and houseplants! I have over 100, many of them in the
dining area where I do most of my writing.
I wanted to use this first blog to elaborate on my about me section. I live with my very accepting
hubby, who puts up with my randomness and the fact that I seem to bring home plants and animal
friends constantly, and that there are crystals and rocks in every single room of the house! I also live
with my three mini monsters, two teenaged daughters and my son who’s still in Primary school.
They are my absolute world and I wouldn’t be without any of them.
I also share my home with Dug the labrador, Winifred Murder Muffin Fluff Paw (Fred or Frodo) and
Minerva Ninja Claw (Mins, Ninj or Catface) the cats. We have three rabbits, Mickey, Chip and Dale,
two gerbils named Lavendar and Sage and a large tank of fish and Congo frogs. Cedrick (Diggory) is
my daughters Leopard Gecko, and I have my five rescue chicken girls who love to sit and cluck at me
whenever I am outside. I’m sure they have names, but I don’t speak Chicken unfortunately, so I just
call them things like Missis or My Lady. My familiar, is Mr Bean the tortoise, he spends as much time
asleep as I’d like to be able to. And yes, they all receive lots of love and attention from all of us.
As well as my crazy close family, I have some amazing friends who have stood by me and pushed me
to where I am and I just love spending time with them, laughing and drinking tea!
I’m about to head into a blur of crazy for the next couple of weeks – see you on the other side! One
thing I’d like to highlight though is that on Friday 26 th April, tickets for the Book Lovers in Birmingham
event in 2025 will go on sale! Which is super exciting, as it’s my first proper grown up book signing,
and I would love to see you all there. Time to design a nice shiny banner and find something lovely
to giveaway on the day!
