Welcome to another rambling blog post!
It’s been a busy week over here, and I hope you have all had a lovely week too!
This week has been a bit of a rollercoaster, the highlights being that I went out with some amazing friends to Liverpool at the weekend, as an early 40th birthday treat. We began at The Botanist in Liverpool One, and ended up in OMG after many hours on Matthew Street. As I love books, we decided to dress up as book characters! We has Where’s Wally, A Shadow Hunter, Hermione, Annabeth from Percy Jackson, Peter Rabbit, A Pink Lady from Grease and Feyre from ACOTAR, and of course I dressed up as an elf from the Tolkien Universe. It was brilliant. I’m using the same costume this coming weekend at Liverpool Comic Con, where I am taking my son to see the hobbits!
My fantastic friends also invited Tom Hiddleston, who appeared in life-sized cardboard cut-out form, and of course then needed a tour of the city as we searched for breakfast.
Also this week, I somehow won an award from a competition in the Write Here, Write Now Writers community. I think I’ll share both the winning stories with you all at some point – I’ll have to make another section on my website!
We’ve been beginning to socialise our bunnies, slowly. Our older boy Mickey lost his brother Pluto a couple of months ago and he was getting quite depressed. We welcomed Chip and Dale into our home and so far, they seem to get on – at least I think they like each other, it can be hard to tell with bunnies. We’ll keep at it and hopefully they’ll be happy to bond. If not, we will keep them separate and keep trying as long as they’re all happy.
Yesterday, we celebrated Beltane! There was no dancing, I’m still all danced out from the weekend! But there was enough fiery energy to go around 🙂 and just look at the beautiful sunshine today (well, it is here anyway)
My daughter is off school poorly, so we’re having a Harry Potter marathon, which I am currently missing writing this so I’d best be off! We were meant to be seeing Olivia Rodrigo on Friday, which has been cancelled due to an issue with the venue – I suppose though it’s for the best with her being poorly. She’ll be fit and well by the time they reschedule, although she is rather upset about it all.
I’ll catch up with you all again soon xxx
